San Cristobal is a charming island known for the friendliness of its inhabitants and diversity of tourist attractions. It has a population of 7,475 inhabitants based in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and the upper part of the island is dedicated to activities such as tourism, fishing, trade, agriculture and public service. It is distinguished from other islands populated by the close coexistence between man and nature and the permanent presence of fresh water sources.

San Cristóbal Island has different tourist activities including adventure and recreation for the enjoyment of domestic and foreign tourists.

Thanks to a sustained policy of public investment promoted by the Municipal GAD of San Cristóbal in recent years, there are large-scale projects, as well as the implementation of projects that will continue to benefit the community and visitors.
