Hospital Oskar Jandl

Hospital Oskar Jandl is a new infrastructure, modern and functional, with a total of 34 beds, while the previous establishment, had 15 beds and was built at the end of the 1960s.

With its new portfolio of services, it is now considered the main regional hospital throughout the province of Galápagos, in addition to providing emergency health services for domestic and foreign tourists.

Thanks to the airplane ambulance and two helicopter ambulances, in agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense, one can easily access the services of the new hospital. Emergency transfers of patients to the mainland of Ecuador, an infrequent situation, are thus capacitated.

The new health facility offers the specialties in the areas of Pediatrics, Gynecology, Obstetrics, internal medicine, general surgery, dermatology, and endocrinology. It also boasts the services of laboratory, emergency, rehabilitation, scan, pharmacy and neonatology, among others.
