Galapagos province uses 911 ECU hotline, as well as in mainland Ecuador, a service that is available to provide security 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
ECU 911 integrates the National Police, National Network of Health (Ministry of Health and the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security and other agencies that provide health services) Armed Forces, Fire Brigade, National Secretariat for Risk Management, Red Cross, National Transit Commission, among others.
To manage the entirety of the Ecuadorian territory, the attention of citizen emergencies, reported through ECU 911, and those generated by video surveillance and alarm monitoring, by the office of specialized response resources belonging to public bodies and private articulated system, in order to contribute permanently to the achievement and maintenance of public security comprehensive.
