Lobos Island

Lobos Island is located approximately twenty minutes by boat from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. It is a long trail of 850 m/approximately one half mile, that takes about one hour to walk. There is a small population of blue-footed boobies and common frigate birds that nest in this area.

The two species of sea lions that live in the Galapagos can be observed on Lobos Islands. During the panga ride one can see brown pelicans and several species of birds nesting on the shore, and while snorkeling one can observe juvenile sea lions that come to play with the visitors, rays, and marine turtles.

To access this site you must arrange for guided excursions with local tour operators.
