A historic site that reminds us of the time of the whalers, when they came to Galapagos to stock up on tortoises and water. Since the 17th century, whalers and pirates who sailed the waters of the Pacific, utilized an old wine barrel by way of post office. Today, this tradition is kept alive with tourists who visit Galapagos. Passengers can bring a postcard or letter to send to family members or friends. No postage is necessary. All you have to do is pick up a letter that is directed to the place where they live.
